Whether you have a dog, cat, hamster, rabbit, or exotic bird, each deserves artistic recognition. What will we do? Choose a technique: Decide whether you want to work with dynamic and opaque acrylic paints, or prefer the delicacy and transparency of watercolors. Preparation: You will learn how to transfer a photo of your pet to canvas or paper to create a solid base for painting. Color and Light: You will discover how to mix colors to faithfully reproduce the color of fur or feathers, and how to manipulate light and shade to add depth to a portrait. Texture and Detail: You will learn techniques for painting fur (or other fur), eyes, and nose – the elements that give a portrait character and soul. Who is this class for? The workshops are ideal for both beginners who have never held a brush before and those with some experience who want to expand their animal portraiture skills. We guarantee personalized support at every stage of the process. What should you bring? A good-quality photo (or several photos) of your pet. The photo should be clear, preferably printed or on a tablet/laptop so that details can be easily copied.
